Many parts

RALEIGH, DURHAM, CHAPEL-HILL, NC. – Bombshell Studios, Inc (“Company”) announces development of their next Full-length Feature Film, MANY PARTS (“the film”).

Bombshell Studios and its production team have named its upcoming feature film “Many Parts”. This artistic drama has entered development under director, Michael Babbitt, in conjunction with Seven Ages Films, Inc. Partnering with Buffalo 8 Productions the film is in the development stage over the next six months with an eye for production in spring of 2024.

Izzy Harrington has been following the path of the artist since she left home. After moving to Atlanta and armed with a relentless drive to study people, their behavior and the impulses that drive them, she has spent the last fifteen years as a working actor in the blossoming Atlanta film industry. Now she faces a crossroad. Does she keep pushing forward, keep doing the day-to-day grind, hoping her ship finally lands or does she cut herself free from the disappointment, rejection and disrespect? Are the work and the art enough?

Many Parts is a character-driven story similar to films like Lady Bird, Lost in Translation, Birdman, and Marriage Story. Set in Atlanta, the city and its culture plays an integral part to the arena that Izzy navigates throughout the film. The story strives to push aside the cultural, romanticized notion of the craft of the artist with touches of humor and tragedy, a love letter to those who are “in the trenches;”  those who don’t get the attention, riches, or admiration but keep going day in and day out or make the difficult decision to walk away.

Current attached talents are: Clark Sarullo (“The Royal” as Leslie Brett opposite Nic Bishop, “The Tomorrow War,” “If Loving You is Wrong” (OWN), and as Sharon Riddell in the Stephen King adaptation “Cell” opposite John Cusack.) Geo Kaiser (“American Soul” (BET), “Drop Dead Diva” (LIFETIME), “Broken Swords: The Last in Line.”) Shelley Phillips (“Across the Ocean,” “Kongs,” “Intimate Lives: The Women of Manet” and “The Bridges of Madison County.”)

Award winning Cinematographer, Shawn Schaffer (“Fighting for Freedom”, starring Kristanna Loken and Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Bruce Dern, “Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor” featuring Zach Galifianakis and “One Moment” starring Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Danny Aiello) is also attached.
